Web Site Designing
For a web site to be successful it should use appropriate technology and it should be standards compliant.
A web site should not use a particular technology just because it has to use it – in fact it should be appropriate to the context of the web site. For example, if plain HTML web site is suitable for an organisation, there is no point that some fancy scripting language is used, leading to cost escalation.
Web site standards are decided by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), an international community that develops standards to ensure the long-term growth of the Web. Though the standards are quite detailed a few basic standards are:
- Tables should not be increasingly used for layout.
- HTML should be used for structure and CSS for style and layout, including web fonts.
- The web site should work for all people, whatever their hardware, software, location, or physical or mental ability.
- It should be 'readable' by search engines.
We take utmost care that your web site conforms to these standards.
